Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. Burrell hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook will show you how to master easy techniques as well as her distinctive blonde spiky locks. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top establishments, studied Italian food and its traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in the region of upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of food and cooking at very young. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stop for her after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was difficult to master enough and I could not do enough couldn't work hard enough. Chef Burrell following her graduation from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy completed a one-year stint in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Her understanding grew of Italian food and culture while in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of children facing problems. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador where she advocates for awareness of children with diabetes. She travels frequently around the nation in her capacity as a mentor and the guest speaker who discusses her career and love of cooking. Anne often has mentioned during her time in the culinary field that she's grateful to be able impart to others what's really important to her.
