Rosario Isabel Dawson was born May 9, 1979. [3] She is an American actress, producer , and director. Her feature film debut was in the 1995 independent drama Kids. Her subsequent roles include He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2002). Dawson also voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC Comics as well as ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. As part of her character in Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated to the Critics' Choice Movie Award in the category of Best Actress in Comedy. Dawson was born on May 9, 1979 in New York City. Isabel Celeste, her mother is Afro-Cuban. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never married Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was a teenager when her mother married Greg Dawson (a construction worker). Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson's half-brother. Dawson is also famous for her roles in comic adaptations to books. These include Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) as well as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also plays Barbara Gordon/Batgirl for The Lego Batman Movie. She also voiced Ahsoka Tano's character for The Mandalorian's second series in 2020. She will also be the protagonist of the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she will reprise her role in Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson comedy , autobiographical comedic comedy.
